Terms of Sale

1. Who we are

DesktopDisplays is sold by Desktop Displays Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17484337). Our registered office is Parkgate Works, Coleman Street, Parkgate, Rotherham, S62 6EL. You can contact us at support@desktopdisplays.co.uk.

2. These terms

These terms apply when you buy a DesktopDisplays device or renew its live data from us. We sell to consumers in the UK only. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

3. What you're buying

A DesktopDisplays device is a desk display that shows live boards and other views. What each device shows and what comes in the box are described on its product page. Devices come with a USB cable but not a USB power adapter, so you'll need your own. Each device comes with 12 months of live data, which starts when you first register the device to your account. After that, you can renew the live data for another 12 months at a time.

4. Prices

The DesktopDisplays Departure Board costs £119.99, plus £3.99 for UK delivery. Renewals cost £2.99 a year, with nothing to deliver. We're not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged. The price you pay is the one shown when you place your order.

5. Your order

You pay when you place your order, and your order is accepted when we email to confirm it. If we can't accept your order, for example because we've run out of stock, we'll tell you and refund you in full. Payments are taken by Stripe, and we never see or store your card details.

6. Delivery

We deliver to UK addresses only. We'll tell you the expected delivery date when we confirm your order. If we don't deliver within 30 days of your order, you can cancel and get a full refund.

7. Renewals

We'll email you before your live data runs out. Renewals don't happen automatically, and we never charge you without asking. To renew, sign in to your account, choose Renew on your device, and pay through Stripe. If you don't renew, the device stays yours, but it stops showing live boards and shows a renewal screen instead.

8. Entertainment only

The boards show live data from third-party sources, but they're for entertainment only. Times, platforms, gates and statuses can be late, incomplete or wrong. Don't rely on DesktopDisplays to make travel decisions. Always check with your airline, airport or train operator.

9. Changes to the service

The data we show comes from third-party providers outside our control. We may change providers, change or add views, or stop showing a particular feed, airport or station if it's no longer available to us or no longer practical to provide. We don't give refunds when an individual feed or view changes or is withdrawn, as long as your device still shows live data. If we stop providing live data altogether during a period you've paid for, we'll refund the unused part of that period.

10. Returns and refunds

Your rights to cancel and to return a faulty device are set out in our Returns and Refunds policy.

11. Our responsibility to you

We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We aren't responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, or for business losses, because the device is for personal use. Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.

12. Your account

You need a free account to register and set up your device. Keep your sign-in details safe, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. How we use your data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

13. Disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, depending on where you live. If you have a complaint, please email us first so we can try to put it right.
